ड्रॅगन फ्रूट हे फळ मूळ मेक्सिको, मध्य आणि दक्षिण अमेरिकेतील असून, वेगवेगळ्या हवामानामध्ये येते. अत्यंत काटक असलेल्या या वनस्पतीची लागवड आपल्याकडेही कमी- अधिक क्षेत्रावर होऊ लागली आहे. लागवडीनंतर सुमारे १५ महिन्यांनी उत्पादनाला सुरवात होत असली तरी पूर्ण क्षमतेने उत्पादन हाती येण्यासाठी तीन वर्षांचा काळ लागतो.
Dragon fruit is native to Mexico, Central and South America. and comes in different climates. This plant has also started to grow on less and more area. Although the production starts about 15 months after planting, it takes three years for the production to reach full capacity.
