कृषी विभागाच्या म्हणण्यानुसार, प्राप्त अर्जांमध्ये एक कोटी ६३ लाख शेतकरी बिगर कर्जदार गटातील आहेत. कर्जदार गटातून केवळ पाच लाख ७६ हजार अर्ज आले आहेत. यंदा १४२ लाख हेक्टरच्या पुढे खरिपाच्या पेरण्या होतील. शेतकऱ्यांनी पीकविमा योजनेत प्रचंड सहभाग नोंदविला आहे. त्यामुळे खरिपाच्या एकूण क्षेत्रापैकी किमान ११२ लाख ४२ हजार हेक्टर क्षेत्र विमा संरक्षित झाले आहे.
According to the Agriculture Department, among the applications received, one crore 63 lakh farmers belong to the non-borrower category. Only five lakh 76 thousand applications have come from borrower group. This year Kharipa will be sown in 142 lakh hectares. Farmers have registered huge participation in the crop insurance scheme. Therefore, out of the total area of Kharipa, at least 112 lakh 42 thousand hectares area has been covered by insurance.
